PlayStation Network down, network error codes, trophy error, Sony PS 3 support guide – PlayStation Network is down in many places (including North America, Europe, and Australia) and PlayStation network error codes keep appearing, like the 8001050F codes. Sony tweeted: “We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.”

That’s all SONY has we’ve heard from them so far. There’s no solution for this error is available yet, even if you are disconnecting your console from the Internet, that will not solve the problem. We will update you guys one any solution is out.

The error code comes with the following message: “Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will now quit.” After the message, the system reboots. The problems seem to mostly affect older, “fat” models of the PS3. Slim models are either not impacted or affected far less frequently.

    today is 2/28/10..the system was working fine early in the day, and when i came home form work i get the error message. what do i have to do? do i return my system? will it something that will pass? im kind of freaking out since i just got the system 3 days ago….missing my xbox already

    When this error occurs, Many users have their Playstation’s date and time set to a previous date. Many are seeing 12/31 as their date and 6 p.m. as their time.

    Slim models appear to be OK.

    Im sick of sony, im to understand that all the staff from sony must be mentally retarded, because I cant understand why these kind of mistakes keep happening… for what I care, they can all die, it wont make a difference

    I am also experiencing this problem. I just stumbled across this in hopes of finding a remedy. Here is what I wrote to customer service on PS3’s website, Which is very messed up too: I downloaded Wipeout HD Fury. I played it once. I went to play it again, & it reverted back to the trial mode. It shows the Wipeout Fury background when highlighting the game before leaving the PS3 dashboard. It also shows that it takes up 1873MB & it’s Version 2.10 but the my game is gone. Still shows Trial mode. Also… I keep getting an error code (8001050F) when I try to sign in. Is this related?? Does the game have to have online access to let me play the full game?? That seems odd. I have a receipt, that was sent to my email. I can go on the internet web browser, but I can not access anything on the PS3 network.

    My time and date has also gone back to 31/12 with the time set at 23.49

    For people who can’t play any games try reverting back to older types I’m currently on call of duty 4 which doesn’t seem to be affected

    My son’s 40gb had this error and then unhelpfully reformatted itself and all his game saved data has gone! Very annoying and frustrating when you have neared the end of games and lost the lot!

    My 60GB Fat PS3′s getting the same problem. Sony need to fix it. I played Borderlands alright (But the secret armoury DLC won’t work). Tried to play Heavy Rain. But its new so can’t access Heavy Rain, Nor my PSN Games (Burn Zombie Burn). Hope Sony get the error fixed & patched up for later.

    If your trying to force us into purchasing new slim line models it wont work we will just get Xbox. I think sonys customer base is shrinking with evey hour this problem. Maybe if sony answered the phone or responded to emails, people would be more understanding
